Cate Blanchett reportedly keeps her "Lord of the Rings" elf ears on her mantelpiece for good luck. Blanchett plays Elf Queen Galadriel in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. In an interview with Fox News, Blanchett admitted that she wanted to star in the movie because she always wanted to appear in a movie wearing pointed ears. According to BBC News, Blanchett kept and bronzed the elf ear prosthetics from the film.
